The Chartered Accountancy (CA) Foundation course is a revised version of the Common Proficiency Test (CPT) that has been introduced by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).

CSEET is the qualifying entrance test for registration to the CS Executive Programme. The next schedule of CSSET is given below. If student is not able to clear CSEET, his/her option of appearing in examination of CS Foundation Programme is still open till expiry of his registration of CS Foundation Programme.

The Institute of Chartered Accountant of India (ICAI) conducted Chartered Accountancy (CA) Foundation level examinations to be held in the month of May/June 2022 and November/December 2022.
ICAI exam form for CA students are available two times in a year for May term and November term. Most of candidates are preparing for foundation exams in English medium/Language.
Paper 1 : Principle & Practice of Accounting (100 Marks)
Paper 2 : Business Law (60 Marks) & Business Correspondence & Reporting (40 Marks)
Paper 3 : Business Mathematics (40 Marks) & Logical Reasoning & Statistics (60 Marks)
Paper 4 : Business Economics (60 Marks) & Commercial Knowledge (40 Marks)
A candidate is required to secure a minimum of 40% marks in each paper (40 marks out of 100) and minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all four papers (200marks out of 400) to pass the exam. In Paper 3 & 4 there will be negative marking for wrong answers.
Foundation Programme can be pursued by 10+2 pass or equivalent students of Arts, Science or Commerce stream (Excluding Fine Arts).
The Institute of Company Secretary of India (ICSI) conducted Company Secretary (CS) Foundation level Examination is conducted twice a year in June and December. ICSI exam form for CS students are available throughout year, but for registration must be done till 31st March for appearing in December Examination in the same year and till 30th September for June Examination next year. The Institute allows facility to students to appear in examination in English as well as in Hindi. (Except Business Communication subject of Foundation Program)

A candidate shall be declared to have passed in the Foundation Programme Examination, if he obtains at one sitting a minimum of 40% marks in each subject and 50% marks in the aggregate of all subjects.
